Roberto Ortiz - MLB Umpire #40 🇵🇷

Founder & CEO

Roberto Ortiz attended and graduated as Honor Graduate from the Jim Evans Umpire School in 2009. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. During his umpire career his achievements include working in the minor leagues from 2009 until 2016. He made his Major League debut on May 14th, 2016 on a series double header between the Miami Marlin and the Washington Nationals. Roberto Ortiz worked the LBPRC for 3 seasons as well as the Caribbean Series in Mexico in 2020. Roberto was offered a permanent contract with MLB in 2022 becoming the first ever Puerto Rican Born umpire to achieve a permanent staff contract. On the first year of his permanent contract with MLB Roberto Ortiz was selected to umpire the 2022 Playoff Wild-Card Series between the Seattle Mariners and the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2023 Roberto was selected to work the Division Series Playoffs between the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins.

Rafael (Guare)Guzman has an extensive umpire background which includes having worked in Puerto Rico and Colombia. Some notebale accomplishments are as follows: Attended Professional Umpire School in Orlando Florida (1990) Worked semi finals and finals in Colombias Professional baseball league Worked Serie del Caribe in Puerto Rico Worked the Central American Games in Cartagena Columbia Worked Professional baseball league in Puerto Rico Current and active Umpire in the Federacion de Beisbol Aficionados in Puerto Rico. In addition to this Rafael "Guare" Guzman was a founding member of the Organizacion Colegio de Arbitros de Puerto Rico in 1985 and currently serves as Vice-President. He was also a founding member of the Organizacion Arbitros de Beisbol del Turabo where he served for the first 20 years as President and currently holds this same title. Refael "Guare" Guzman was inducted in 2012 into the "Pabellon de La Fama del Deporte" in Caguas Puerto where he currently is an active Director and serves on the board since 2014.

Robert Medina has a Bachelor's in Science in communication with management, Sales & Marketing. Robert started umpiring at the age of 15 and holds the distinction of being the youngest professional umpire to come out of Puerto Rico. In 2004 he was awarded a full scholorship to attend the Jim Evans Professional MLB Umpire Academy, the same year he went pro. Juan M Garza is a Collegiate Umpire with over 20 years of experience. Juan has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and is a United States Army Combat Veteran. Juan's umpire achievements include working Division I collegiate baseball for over 15 years in various Division I conferences in the Unites States. Juan has worked numerous state championship contest for the Tennessee Secondary School Association and also worked the 2017 NAIA Collegiate World Series.
